Hello!
I am a one of the regular reader of
your website and I think its really
good! Have a suggestion - how about
adding an opinion poll on a weekly
basis for all the political news or
any similar news where opinions of
people are required? Of course, it
should be about Bihar.
Bushra Birjis
Editor's note: You'll be glad to
know that we are working on an
in-house polling system (as opposed
to a third-party solution that force
you to endure their nerve-racking
ads) that will allow PD visitors to
participate in quick, on-line
polling on current issues relating
to Bihar, India, or the world.
Thanks for your interest. |

I
was very pleased to note an
observation by another reader, on my
message (seeking to know the
location of my ancestor's village,
Kowarah) I sent to you last
September.
Could you kindly help me in
obtaining the e-mails of the 2
libraries, Sinha and Khudabaksh?
It
tears my heart here in Mauritius to
read of the unrests and strife in
Bihar. But I will still come
over(1st time) and of course include
my first hand personal feelings in
my future book. Thanking you once
again.

There
is one more good news from Bihar.
Ritambhara Kumar, 17 of Naubatpur
(Patna District) has secured a seat
in the prestigious Harvard College
of USA to study Economics free of
cost. She got this offer after her
essay was adjudged the best by the
authorities. This Bihari girl has
again made all of proud by her
stupendous achievement. She also
runs an NGO in her village for the
upliftment of girl child and women.
May
she succeed in all her endeavors.
Our best wishes to her.

This
is just a suggestion. would it not
be wonderful if PD starts a page in
which we have decryption of all the
Bihar festivals/marriage procedures
and the songs related to it. An
Audio version would be a boon, but
depending upon its feasibility, else
simply giving the lyrics will also
do. I think our friends who are in
soft-ware can contribute some help
in this direction. I feel, if we
don't do this now, we will gradually
loose all the sweet songs played on
Holi, chhath or haldi and matkor
during wedding. If this will require
some help in any form I think PD
readers will be more than happy to
offer.

I
just wanted to thank you people for
making and maintaining a good
website. I am a regular visitor of
this website and I found that it
really makes me feel homely as I am
also from Bihar (Sitamarhi). It is
really great to know about our
people back in Bihar. Thanks a lot
for your good website.

I
want to give you people some
suggestions regarding improvement of
the site. Please update news on
hourly basis, include some sports
and international news and do
publish some good information
regarding Bihar regularly so that
people outside Bihar will be able to
know our Bihar properly. You all can
start a group for Biharis also.

Marvelous,
excellent, full infotainment. Words
fail to express my feeling of
excitement and pleasure when I first
visited PatnaDaily.Com. I want to
submit some wise sayings of
Bhojpuri/Bihar in Hindi. Please
suggest the way. Can we make a club
of Biharis living outside Bihar?

This
is definitely a good effort to
portray Patna on the net. I
appreciate the effort put by the
editor and promoters of this site.
Friendship corner and matrimony
should be more interactive like
search options, filter criterion. In
case you need any help in developing
these features I can get people who
can volunteer for it.

Really
I was thrilled to see the site of my
birthplace on the net. We all 200
odd Biharis feel proud of it at the
National Defence Academy.

Simply
put, it is probably the best thing
that has happened to Patna in recent
years. Keeping in touch with the
"roots" has never been easier and
more satisfactory.
By
the way, did anyone notice that
people who have left Patna/India are
more enthusiastic about the site?

It
was a great delight to find a web
page about Patna. The information
which it contains is fabulous. When
Patna is almost written off by
nation as a city, it is indeed
admirable that a site is created
about Patna which will help a lot in
establishing the Patna again in the
national psychic. Well done.

I
was born and brought up in Patna
City and am now working as Chief
Materials Manager in Steel Authority
of India Limited. I've done B.Sc
from B. N. College and M.Sc from
Patna University.
I
would like to suggest that you get
in touch with some of the historians
and request them to provide
materials that can establish the
richness, variety and depth of
culture starting from the
Pataliputra days. Best of luck

For
all those of us who have lived or
visited Bihar (and present
Jharkhand) at some point, your pages
indeed help us re-connect - as is
evident from the scores of letters
you receive and publish. You have
been instrumental in connecting me,
and others, with long-lost friends.
More recently I noticed you
connected someone whose forefathers
went to Mauritius from Bihar. All of
this is possible because you care
enough not just to maintain the
site, and very well too, but because
you want to maintain these links of
people, homes, ancestors, friends.
All of this is much appreciated.
I
have a request: because I have not
been able to obtain it from the 'net
or in any other way, is it likely
that someone could provide me with a
map of Giridih? It's a district
town, but strangely enough no maps
available even on the official
Jharkhand site!

I
had been a frequent visitor to Patna
between '99 and '02. Although it's
been a while since I have seen the
city, going through your site and
the picture gallery was almost like
being there. You have done a
wonderful job. Now if only you had a
'litti-mutton' section...

When
I put Patna in Google, I was
expecting results with little
mention of it but your site's name
emerged as a mixed surprise to me.
Thanks for making me feel BIHARI
even when I'm in a cafe. Miss Patna, Maurylok.
