Nice
to see an e-newspaper devoted to Patna.
I am from Patna, but for last 8 years I
am away from Patna. Here at Ahmedabad it
is difficult to get the news of Patna.
But now on regular basis I am able to
get the latest news of Patna.

I
am very much glad to see Patna's
website today; it is like a
surprise for me that Patna has
got world connectivity. Whatever
you can do to change the face of
Bihar please do; I am always
with all of you. If you really
need my help in any form I will
glad to serve my city because I
was born in Patna but now I am
working in Qatar.

Hi,
a few days back I mailed
the team at
PatnaDaily.Com
requesting recipes for
some very special Bihari
dishes and I find it's
very heartening to see
that some of the recipes
have appeared in the
recipe section. I just
want to give a heartfelt
thanks to the team.
When I grew up in Patna
in a very traditional
Bihari atmosphere, I
grew up with so many
dishes prepared at home
depending on the
occasions, festivals
etc. Suddenly it all
seems to have been lost,
at least in the present
educated generation.
People talk about all
Punjabi dishes, South
Indian and maybe
international dishes,
but our own simple
rustic Bihari food finds
no mention. I would
request you to put up a
section for all these
dishes so that they
don't get lost and
create awareness about
our own cuisines in the
present day generation.
I can give you so many
names of dishes,
probably you can get our
readers to write about
them and we can have a
great collection of
Bihari recipes for
everybody to refer to.
And it would be great
for me if I can recreate
those old flavours in my
kitchen once again.
I am just giving some
names of some of the
snacks which we used to
have, if some reader
knows how to make them.
They are thekua, nimki,
khajur, kutki or
sakarpara, gaaza,
raamdana ka laddu, moori
ka lai, jhalmoori, bajka,
saunth, tisi ka laddu,
dhoka, raasiyao, chilka
or bhabhri, to name a
few. Hope somebody is
still making them and
will give us the
recipes. Thanks.

Hey,
you're all doing a great
work. I used to be once
in Patna but now am in
Kolkata. The photos made
me really nostalgic. But
I could not download
them. Is there a way to
do so? Also, can I make
request for some more
photos? If yes then do
inform me?

I
am in Chhattisgarh but
before here I have spent
5 years in Patna near
Maurya Lok Complex (Kems

supervisor for the work
of Election under
leadership of Mr.
Dheeraj Kumar Ojha. I m
deeply involved in
Patna. Now this time I
am in Chhattisgarh and
this is so far from our
Patna but I can never
forget Patna. This is
your best step to spread
information about Patna
or Bihar. I think you
all will be very
successful.
Thik hai, ab ham hamesha

Hello,
I found this site really
good. After staying away
from home for more than
2 and a half years, it
was really good to see
all the changes! Keep up
the good work. I feel a
sense of pride after
going through the
photographs. I wish
there were more pictures
of my school, St.
Joseph's Convent. I know
there might have been
security concerns -
after all I know my
school :o)
Despite all the bad name
that it got, it's still
my hometown, the
loveliest place on
earth!

Hi,
I just happen to visit
this site while doing
general net surfing. And
I am very impressed with
the site and specially
the photographs section.
Thanks everyone involved
in the project and I
wish I could contribute
my bit to make it a
success. Please keep up
the good work.
Just one small
suggestion. Can we add a
small section where we
can post our views and

Dear
sir, I am very happy to
read the news on
"PatnaDaily.Com". I am
in Hyderabad presently.
It gives me a special
feeling that we are not
away from my home
city/state. You are
doing a commendable job
like the new govt. is
doing in Bihar. Please
keep it up. Please try
to cover more and more
news so that we can know
about the happenings in
our own motherland.

I
was born in Patna and
received schooling
there. Since the past
several years though
living outside. I still
feel excited reading and
listening about the
city. I am extremely
happy with your effort
and can only wish you
the best in your
extremely important but
challenging venture.
Actually it is by pure
accident that I bumped
into your web site. I
read the news about one
Mr. Anand Kumar teaching
underprivileged children
for IIT. We found it
very laudable, and
wanted to congratulate
the people behind the
initiative. And also
wanted to help them in
case they accept. Will
it be possible for you
to convey this to them?

Hi
to everybody. I am glad
to see the web site for
Bihari people and
wishing that it will
give some useful
information to the
people of Bihar. It will
also help those people
who are not aware of
Bihar but wish to know
about it. It will also
help in changing the
view of some people who
think Bihar is not a
good place.

Discovered
this wonderful site last
evening. I was born and
brought up in Patna but
am serving outside the
state all through the 23
years of service.
I am sure there are
people all over outside
Bihar who would like to
contribute to some
definite causes in
Bihar. I am interested
to contribute, in small
and in installments, to
some developmental work
in Patna (a) may be
revitalising a
government / municipal
school in Patna, (b) I
come from banking
background and if some
not-for-profit
initiative (not a
typical NGO please) can
be made to provide
financial services to
the poor in/around Patna
(c) working closely with
the local government for
smoothening of public
services. These are some
ideas that are always in
my mind.
