First
of all congrats for this endeavor of
promoting Patna through your site. It
has been of great help for us who are
away from our land.
Well, everything is perfect but I wish
you should devote more pages on
education in Patna especially Patna
University. Its colleges, teachers and
courses because education is the only
aspect we Biharis are leading. From
Amir Subhani to Sunil Kumar Barnwal to
Alok Ranjan Jha - all these names have
brought fame to our city and a very
common link is Science College of
which I am also an alumni. So, please
devote a page to the young achievers
from Patna.
Best
of luck for future projects.

I
am an ex-student of Patna Science
College. The picture shown on
PatnaDaily.Com doesn't represent the
true beauty of the college. Please see
to it so that people from all over the
world can see and realize the gravity
and beauty of one of the best colleges
of Bihar.

I
was born and brought up in Patna and
did my schooling in Patna Collegiate.
I was there from 1954-1960. I still
remember few names from my classmates
at school. Those who were with me from
class 6 to matric e.g. Ranjit Singh
(presently professor of math in
Patna), Ranjit Sinha, Shatrughan Sinha
(film actor), Din Dayal, Chandeshwar
Prasad, Sulaiman Ahmad, Nasimul-hoda,
Saiful-hoda, Nazim Hussain, and Javed
Iqbal.
Few of my schoolmates are still in my
contact--e.g Sulaiman Ahmed,
Chandashwar Prasad, Ranjit Singh.
After
my high school I studied two years in
Patna College then in 1963 I moved to
Karachi, Pakistan where I finished my
University degree. After my education
I started my career as a banker. In
1977 I moved from Pakistan and joined
an international bank. Since 1981 I am
settled in Vancouver, Canada. After
working 28 years in banking field, i
retired and started my own business in
1994.
Thank
you very much for the site, I think it
is an excellent way to keep in touch.

You
have an excellent web site on Patna. I
am an all out Patna man. St. Xavier's,
Patna Collegiate, Bihar College of
Engineering, then IIT Kanpur for
M.Tech in Structure. Currently I am
living in New Jersey, USA and work for
City of New York. The pictures are
amazing, your cartoons are really
thought provoking and funny.

It
is a wonderful site detailing Bihar. I
would appreciate if I can get the
recipe for 1) Thekwa and 2) Khajur. I
used to get these delicious and simple
snacks, while I was in Jamshedpur from
my friend circle. Now I am writing
from Los Angeles, USA and would like
to make it here.

Excellent
work. Congrats and best wishes for
future. Please add more local
photographs and local news, because
this is the only site with such kind
of specialization. Put Patna on world
cyber map.

This
is a very good effort to bring all
that's happening in Bihar,
particularly Patna, to the cyber
world. I hope you would continue with
your good work. Please try to revive
the discussion board so that
Patna'ites can have a platform to air
their opinion.

This
website is of world class. You have
done a great job, congratulations.
This site covers various images of
Patna, more importantly, everything is
true and real but few things are
missing as culture of Patna, local
sports news and job opportunities in
Patna for both part timers and full
time.

What
a marvelous idea and what a cracking
site!
I am from Patna; lived there till age
28 ( St. Xavier's, Patna Univ, SBI);
moved to London in 1976 but still pine
for Patna - the old Patna. Carol
Andrade in her letter echoes the
feelings of all who have ever been
connected with the city, even for a
short period.
It
was indeed a great place -- socially,
culturally and intellectually, and
most of all, for its magnanimous
people. My daughter who is 18 does not
believe this.
At
any gathering, if there be another
Patna'ite, the bonding is
instantaneous. I wish to congratulate
you for your excellent idea. May this
be a first step towards retrieving my
state's and my city's lost glory.

I
returned to Patna in November 2002
after 30 years and six months, so you
can imagine what an emotional
home-coming it was. I consider myself
an out and out Bombaiya, of course,
having lived three-fifths of my life
here and only 18 years in Patna. I
have no family at all in Bihar, no
property. But oh! the ties and the
memories of school and friends and
college and people. Truly it must be
said of the Patna Diaspora that the
further we get, the more sorely we
miss it. By which I do not mean
today's Patna, God forbid, but the old
place where it was possible to have a
superb education, the best healthcare,
friends for life and a happy
childhood. Because of the past, Patna,
unfortunately, will be with me
forever.

While
reading Indian Express I came across
your site and from that time on I am
hooked. I read it every day now. You
are great. Keep up the good work of
informing us 'purdesis' thousands of
miles away.
I was
born 10 miles east of the town in a
small village Nimi 60 years ago.
Information that you supply to us
about Patna and Bihar brings me close
to you. I wish you, the people of
Bihar well, peace and prosperity.
