Patna: On the eve of the release of Hindi film 'Akhir Kab Tak', film-maker Nishikant Jha, at a press conference in Patna on Thursday, said that his family drama would open in dozens of theaters simultaneously in Bihar and Jharkhand on Friday.
Made under the banner of P&G Films, the movie, besides being very entertaining, dwells on a number of social issues being faced by Indian women, particularly the evil of dowry that continues to wreck many families in the Indian society, Jha said.
"We are always talking about the ill-effects of dowry in our society but fail to do anything about it. The fact of the matter is; dowry continues to wreak havoc in Indian families and despite several new anti-dowry laws, it continues to thrive in each caste and community," the film-maker said.
'Akhir Kab Tak' not only speaks against the dowry system, it also suggests ways to remove it by focusing on its cause," he said.
Film director Mithilesh Avinash, and lead stars Manisha Singh and Vinay Rana were also present at the press conference.
Ram Sujan Singh, noted film star from Patna who came into limelight with super-hit Dabang starring Salman Khan, also plays an important role in the film.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
