Patna: Christians in Patna on Friday participated in church mass and prayers to mark the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, also known as the Good Friday.
Led by Father Sushil of the Kurji Church, more than 3,000 followers of the Christian faith took out a procession carrying the crucifixion cross to mark the event. Later they also participated in a public mass attended by Father Sushil, Father George, Father Henry and other leaders of the Christian community.
Special mass were also held at the Padri Ki Haveli in Patna City, Catholic Church near Gandhi Maidan, Anisabad Church, and Phulwari Church.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar sent his best wishes to the Christian community in Bihar saying the lessons and preaching of Lord Jesus Christ was as relevant as it was nearly 2000 years ago and it would do everyone good to continue to learn from his ultimate sacrifice.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
