Patna: Central Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ram Kripal Yadav met with the victims of the Thursday night train tragedy at Neema Halt who were admitted at the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for treatment of their injuries.
At the hospital, Yadav chastised the Nitish administration for failing to provide adequate medical treatment to the victims – many of who received their injuries either by falling from the train or by the electrical shock that left three persons dead.
"I am appalled at the condition of the hospital where there is no doctor to look after the patients. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is living in his own make-believe world where he has nothing to do with reality. Not a single leader from the Janata Dal – U or Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) had come to see the victims who are completely at the mercy of the God in the lack of proper care at the hospital," the former RJD leader said.
As reported, three persons died when a broken high-tension overhead electric cable came in contact with the Patna-Gaya Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) train number 63255 on Thursday night causing severe electrical shock thus throwing off many passengers who were sitting on the roof of the train.
Meanwhile, the state government has announced a compensation package of Rs. 4 lakh to the families of the deceased.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
