CM Shows Dissatisfaction with Progress in Agricultural Roadmap

Patna: With hardly any progress made in the much-hyped ‘Agricultural Roadmap’ of Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, during a meeting of the Bihar Vikas Mission in Patna on Tuesday, excoriated the officials for making no headway in the schemes that he said were beneficial to the farmers of the state.

Demanding a reboot in the bureaucratic approach towards the agricultural roadmap, the Chief Minister asked a full report from the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry department officials as to what they had accomplished in 2016 and what their plan was for the year 2017.

Kumar also expressed his dissatisfaction with the sluggishness in the student credit scheme and directed the officials to remove any obstacle that was preventing students from obtaining educational loan under student credit card program.

The meeting lasted nearly eight hours and while a host of topics were covered during the marathon session, it was more than evident that the Chief Minister was far from being happy with the pace of development and the slow speed of progress in Bihar.
