Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) national spokesperson Manoj Jha, at a press meet in Patna on Wednesday, said that properties and flats in posh areas in Delhi and Gurgaon were being sold in the name of Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi – an allegation repeatedly made by Modi against the Lalu clan.
Jha said that a number of people had purchased lands and flats in Delhi, Gurgaon, and neighboring areas in the name of the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and the RJD would leave no stone unturned in exposing the BJP leader.
"These transactions are being made under anonymous names but the real owner is Sushil Kumar Modi. We are going to expose him and his family members of acquiring properties illegally and under pseudonyms," the RJD leader said.
Showing a video of a flat sale in Gurgaon, Jha said that two marketing agents identified as Ankit Modi and Ankur Modi had been selling properties to people by mentioning the name of Sushil Modi. The video, however, failed to make any connection with the Modi of Bihar besides the insinuation of financial impropriety by Jha.
Modi, for the past month or so, had been relentless in exposing Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members for amassing properties in places like Patna, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Mumbai totaling in value much beyond their combined known sources of income.
"What sort of relationship Sushil Modi has with companies like Ashiana Infrastructure and Sky Lok Commerce Private Limited? He needs to come clean on these. We will soon contact the Prime Minister's office and the office of the Enforcement Directorate to demand an enquiry into Modi's financial dealings," the RJD spokesperson said.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
