Patna: A day after hundreds of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) activists clashed with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers at the BJP state Headquarters on Birchand Patel Marg leaving at least six persons injured, the youth wing of the BJP took out a massive rally in Patna in protest and burnt effigies of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Congress leader and a minister in Nitish cabinet Ashok Kumar Chowdhary.

{gallery}newsimages2017/may/051817{/gallery}Members of the Bharatiya Yuva Janata Morcha (BYJM), led by senior party leader and the leader of the opposition in Bihar Assembly Prem Kumar, took out a march to the Dak Bungalow Crossing where they burnt the effigies of the three leaders of the Mahagathbandhan in a sign of protest against attack on their party workers and assault on the party office on Birchand Patel Marg yesterday.

The protest also got support from the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief and former Chief Minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi.

Accusing Lalu Prasad Yadav and his two sons of inciting violence against the BJP members in the fallout of the CBI and Income Tax raids on a number of properties owned by the Yadav family in Delhi, Gurgaon and other areas, the BJP leaders demanded arrest of the father-sons trio while accusing Nitish Kumar of being a bystander who, they said, had no guts to keep the Yadav family in control.

"RJD activists were attacking our workers and office at the behest of party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his two sons and Nitish Kumar failed to take any action. It is obvious that the Chief Minister has surrendered before the criminal elements," Prem Kumar said.
