Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) state President Ramchandra Purvey, speaking at a meeting of the party members to plan for the proposed 'Maha Rally' in Patna on August 27, stuck to the party's strategy of painting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with a communal paintbrush saying the BJP and the RSS were determined to divide the nation in the name of religion but the RJD was ready to foil their attempts in the next Lok Sabha polls.
"RJD has sounded alert on the nefarious scheme of the BJP. This is making them very nervous and that is why its leaders are engaging in low-level politics to malign the family of Lalu Prasad Yadav. There is a lot of excitement in villages across Bihar about the upcoming rally in Patna. It is going to be so big that people will wonder if the rally is in Patna or Patna is in rally," Purvey said.
Senior party leader Mundrika Singh Yadav, also raising the specter of an anti-Muslim India under the Modi government, said that the nation attained freedom from the British rule with the help of the members of all communities including Hindu, Muslim, Christian, and Sikh but the BJP was trying to destroy this 'unity in diversity' by indulging in communal politics.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
