Patna: Sapna Kumari, the 9th-grader who brought laurel to her state and her school after she led Bihar to victory in the Northeast Zone Under-19 Girls' Cricket tournament held recently in Dhanbad, was honored by the officials of Bapu Smarak Mahila Uchcha Vidyalaya in Kadam Kuan.
School Principal Dr. Minakshi Jha, in the presence of faculties and students, congratulated Sapna, the captain of the team, on her excellent leadership qualities that led to the victory of the team. Dr. Jha presented her a shawl, a commemorative memento, and a flower bouquet to encourage the young talent.
"This is a matter of great pride for our school and the entire state of Bihar. Sapna led her team to victory in a tournament that was filled with great talents from other states," Dr. Jha said.
