Ingredients

For Gravy

  • 250 grams yogurt, beaten
  • 3 grams clove
  • 4 Whole bay leaves
  • 2 grams cumin seeds
  • 1 grams asafetida (heeng)
  • 5 grams ginger and green chili, chopped
  • 25 mL cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 grams turmeric powder
  • 5 grams garam masala powder
  • 2 grams red chili powder
  • 50 mL water

For Garnish

  • 3 grams rogan
  • 5 grams chopped fresh cilantro

For Kofta

  • 6 Whole unripe bananas (plantains)
  • 10 grams ginger and green chili, chopped
  • 2 grams cumin seeds
  • 1 grams asafetida
  • 5 grams garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt, or as desired

Kachche Kele ka Kofta Directions

  1. Boil and peel raw bananas and mash them.
  2. Add rest of the ingredients and make balls and deep fry.
  3. Heat oil for the gravy; add cloves, bay leaf, cumin, asafetida, ginger, and green chili, beaten curd, turmeric, garam masala powder, red chili powder, and water to adjust the consistency.
  4. Adjust the seasoning.
  5. Add the koftas; simmer for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with rogan and chopped coriander.
