The central government has sanctioned eight new IITs and alloted one to Patna, three years back. But the state government has failed to allot land to the IIT Patna to this date, and the institution continues to work from the temporary campus, which is highly inadequate to the needs of the institution. While other new IITs like the ones at Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, and Hyderabad have made rapid strides and at are at an advanced stage of completing their new campuses utilizing the funds provided by the central government, the IIT Patna is not provided with the land promised to it by the state government. If the situation continues like this, the institution may be ultimately shifted out of the state. I hereby urge the politicians, the people of Patna and the PatnaDaily.Com to bring pressure on the state government, to expedite the matter. Similar/Related Articles
