With dark cloud hovering over the city for most of the day, the rain, in contrast, remained light and just adequate so as not to throw the life out of gear while providing the much-needed relief. The rain started on Monday night and continued through Tuesday causing some, but not much, inconvenience to the school-children. According to the weather officials in Patna, the monsoon was said to be very active with nearly 100% chance of rain for the next 24 hours. While the Nitish administration maintains the state is prepared to deal with any flood-like situation, concerns of a drought also loom over Bihar where rain had been sparse and heat had been intense for the last several weeks.
