PWC Students Charm Audience with 'Sawan' Dance Print E-mail

Dance competition at Patna Women's College.Dance competition at Patna Women's College.Patna: Students of Patna Women's College on Thursday participated in a 'Shrawani' dance competition to celebrate the arrival of Sawan, the 5th month of the Hindu calendar.

Over 100 students identified by codes, divided in 11 different groups, took part in the competition that kept the students, teachers, and guests enthralled for several hours.

The first prize was jointly shared by code 11 and 4 for their elegant dance performance on
"Barso re Megha" and "Sawan me Rimjhim".

Code number 1 was awarded the second prize for the dance on "Morni Baga Ma" while the third place award went to code 6 for her dance on "Ayore Ayore Sawan" song.

Patna Women's College Principal Dr. Sister Doris D'Souza thanked the students for making the event successful while stressing the need for such activities for an all-round development of the students.
