Criminals with arms arrested in Patna on Thursday.Patna: Police in Patna on Thursday, acting on a tip-off, arrested three hard-core, seasoned criminals and recovered a carbine, four pistols, eight magazines, and 15 cartridges of various bores from their possessions.

As reported, officials in Patna received an anonymous tip about some criminals planning to sell arms to other criminals in Patrakar Nagar area.

Acting quickly, a special police team led by City Superintendent of Police (SP) Manu Maharaj, raided the area and arrested Man Singh, Anjani Rai, and Gautam Kumar and recovered arms from their possessions.

All three had been to jail a number of times on various charges and are believed to be the members of the notorious Sanjay Mahatma gang operating in Diara area, the police said.
