Photo by Shashi UttamPatna police on late Tuesday night busted an inter-state gang of drug dealers following the arrests of three peddlers near Rajendra Nagar over-bridge under Kadam Kuan police station and recover of approximately 250 gm of heroin with an estimated street value of Rs. 25 lakh.

Based on the intelligence reports, the police in Patna surrounded the area near Vaishali Cinema and nabbed Sanjeev Kumar, Santosh Kumar, and Chandreshwar Prasad just minutes before a transaction was to take place, Kadam Kuan police station in-charge Ajay Kumar said.

The drugs seized during the operation were packed in plastic pouches with stamps of Afghanistan visible on it, the police said.

The arrested persons were being grilled in an attempt to identify the other members of the gang, they said.
