BJP Leaders Assure Chaupal Community of Help

Senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, while inaugurating a meeting on the plights of the Chaupal community at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Sunday, said that justice had long been overdue for the Chaupals who have been denied their constitutional rights by every government since the Independence.
"The NDA government in Bihar has taken notice of the conditions of the Chaupals and how they have been ignored by the leaders in the past. It is high time now that they get the position in the society that they so richly deserve and the government is taking necessary measures to ensure they rights are protected," Prasad said.
Human Resources Minister Brishan Patel also assured the delegates of government assistance in improving their lot and full support in providing social justice to them.
Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav announced his decision to give a stipend of Rs. 5,000 from his departmental fund for the education of a girl from Chaupal community.
"Education is the only way to bring changes in the society and the NDA government is doing everything in its might to improve the standard of education in Bihar that would have long-lasting effect on all communities that have somehow lagged behind in catching up with the new world," said Yadav.
BJP leader and MLC Kameshwar Chaupal, Road Construction Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey, MLC Giriraj Singh, Rajdeo Chaupal, Shivkumar Chaupal, and Rajendra Chaupal were among many who were also present at the meeting.
