Patna University students on Wednesday, in an act of Gandhigiri, presented roses to the striking university employees and urged them to withdraw their stir in the interest of the students' future while also blasting the administration for ignoring the demands of the employees at the risk of ruining the future of the student.
Students representing various political and student organizations outside Patna University office and Science College gate chanted anti-administration slogans and blocked the road for hours.
"This has gone too far now and the responsibility now solely in the hands of the university officials who, until now, have preferred to ignore the strike hoping it would soon go away by itself," said the student leaders.
Agitators also demonstrated outside the house of Patna University Vice Chancellor Dr. Shyam Lal and forced Magadh Mahila College to shut down for the day.
