State Observes 91st Birth Anniversary of Satyendra Babu

Bihar Governor R. L. Bhatia and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid their respects to the former Chief Minister of Bihar Satyendra Narayan Singh to mark his 91st birth anniversary at a state function at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Saturday.

Health Minister Nand Kishore Yadav and the grandson of Satyendra Babu, Rakesh Kumar, also placed garlands at the picture of the freedom fighter who was eulogized in speeches by the Chief Minister and others who were present on the occasion.

In another event organized in honor of Satyendra Babu, Congress leaders at Sadaqat Ashram paid lavish tribute to the former CM.

"Satyendra Babu was an extremely able leader as well as an idealist person who had nothing but Bihar's interest in his heart. The bar set by him is still being emulated by leaders in the Congress Party and he would continue to guide us for a long time to come," said the Congress state president Sadanand Singh.
