Four Arrested in Mohammedpur Massacre Case

With the arrests of four persons following raids in various villages in Patna district, the Patna police on Tuesday claimed to have cracked the case of July 7 massacre in Mohammedpur where five people were butchered after unidentified criminals broke into their home and stabbed them to death as the victims slept.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of police Amit Kumar, during a press conference, presented the killers and said that the four men, besides carrying out the July 7 carnage, were wanted in a number of other killings in Babuchak and Sarari village and had operated a gang of vicious killers simply to establish his supremacy in the area.
The SSP said that while the four have confessed of being guilty as charged, two other men remain at large even as the police continues to search for them.
The four killers were identified as Ambika Chowdhary, Rajesh Manjhi, Dayanand Manjhi, and Ram Bahadur Manjhi. The two absconding criminals were identified as Tara Manjhi and Ganesh Manjhi, officials said.
The police have recovered several pieces of clothing covered with human blood, machete, knife, axe, and a cell phone used during the commission of crime.
