CBI Raid at State Bank of India Official's House

CBI sleuths in Patna and Darbhanga on Tuesday conducted simultaneous raids at four locations, including two houses of the State Bank of India senior official and leader of a number of bank unions Jai Nandan Singh following charges of accumulating properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Officials have recovered large amount of cash, several incriminating documents revealing existence of various properties, bank accounts, and other valuables from Singh's houses in Hanuman Nagar in Patna and his paternal house in Darbhanga, it was learnt.
While not much was recovered from his Darbhanga house, officials recovered many documents from his home in Patna and two locations belonging to the State Bank of India revealing properties over Rs. 65 lakh.
The raids began at around 6:00 am and lasted over five hours during which Singh was nowhere to be seen.
Attempts are being made to locate Singh who has been missing since the CBI filed a case against him on May 30.
