Four Arrested in Hotel Robbery Case

The police in Patna on Tuesday arrested four persons in connection with the last Saturday armed robbery at the Hotel Delight in Gurudwara Gali under Kotwali police station following raids at various locations in the same area, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amit Kumar said.

The police also recovered a gun that was possibly used in the commission of crime, he said.

Among the arrested persons are Rakesh Kumar of Patna, Ramakant Tiwari of Dhanarua, Vinay Kumar of Khagaul, and Pintu Kumar of Koilwar – all members of the notorious gangster Anil Singh.

All four men are said to have confessed of their involvement in the crime as the police continues to interrogate them to determine the identities of other criminals connected with the hotel robbery.

As reported previously, more than two dozen armed criminals barged into Hotel Delight located last Saturday and robbed the patrons and hotel employees to the tune of several thousand rupees.

Before leaving, the criminals also beat up the hotel manager Pramod Kumar and threatened to kill him if he tried to raise an alarm.
