VP Visits Bodh Gaya; Leaves for New Delhi

Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari, following his visit to Bodh Gaya on Thursday at the end of his two-day trip to Bihar, left for New Delhi from Gaya Airport wishing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a great success in rebuilding the state where he earlier inaugurated the Chandragupta Institute of Management (CIM).
Mr. Ansari took a tour of the temple and meditated for about 5 minutes under the ancient Bodhi Tree under which Lord Buddha attained enlightenment nearly 2500 years ago.
The VP was received at the Gaya Airport by Road Construction Minister Prem Kumar, District Council chairperson Shobha Sinha, and Gaya Deputy Mayor Onkar Nath Srivastava.
The VP left for New Delhi from Gaya Airport where he was given a warm send-off by the Chief Minister and other Bihar officials.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister hosted a luncheon session at his residence on 1 Anne Marg in honor of the Vice President. Governor R. S. Gavai and his wife were also present at the lunch session.
