Students-Teachers Clash in Patna College

Students in Patna College on Wednesday clashed with teachers of the Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) and destroyed university properties in the wake of several recruitment agencies declaring their graduate degrees as 'not credible' for various job openings across the nation.
The students also tried to disrupt the BCA exams that were being held at Patna College though timely interruption by the security officials foiled their bid and allowed the exam to proceed.
When the teachers tried to reason with the angry students, they became even more agitated and started to pelt stones at the teachers.
Before long, the situation further worsened as teachers chased the students with sticks and other objects while the students continued to pelt stones on the teachers and engaged in vandalizing university properties.
As always, the clash was followed by threats by students who, in a joint announcement, called for a college shutdown on Thursday to protest against 'attack' on them by the teachers.
