CM Looks Forward to Better Agricultural Days
Patna: June 22, 2008
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, while attending a seminar on 'Potatoes and Investment Opportunities' sponsored by the state Agriculture Department at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Sunday, said that by investing over Rs. 1,000 crore in various agricultural sectors in Bihar, the industrialists have proven that the environment was ripe for investment in the state.
"Soon Bihar products would be standard feature on each and every dining table in the nation. All one has to do is to taste agricultural produce from Bihar and they would be hooked for life," Kumar said amidst heavy applause.
The Chief Minister further said that now that Bihari labors had started to come back to Bihar, the developed states were facing hard times to complete their ongoing projects.
"Our labors had spent their sweat and blood for the prosperity of other states. Now they are returning to Bihar in large numbers thanks to the positive changes that the state has undergone in the last couple of years. Those who were earlier raising a ruckus about Bihari migrant labors infiltrating their states are now wishing they were still enjoying the cheap labor that they were so used to for such a long time," he said.
