Patna Museum to Have Improved Lighting
Patna: June 22, 2008
Patna's historical museum will soon have a new look in terms of indoor and outdoor lighting that would add a whole new dimension to the nearly a century old building that houses ancient relics and artifacts dating back several centuries.
Museum joint director J. P. Agrawal said the changes were made at the behest of Art and Culture department secretary Vivek Kumar Singh.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of this month, said Agrawal.
Under the new lighting scheme, each galleries and rooms would have special lighting arrangements that would bring out the real beauty of the artifacts while offering a more 'inviting' feel to the visitors; an idea unexplored and unimplemented hitherto, he said.
The museum has also made new arrangements to provide drinking water to the visitors besides enhancing the resting area for the tourists, Agrawal said.
