Photo by Anupam SinghAuthorities in Patna on Wednesday arrested more than two dozen students with allegiance to the All India Students' Federation for vandalizing the regional office of the Magadh University to press for their demands that include completion of the honors course before holding the finals and lowering of the examination fee to its previous level.

Chanting anti-Magadh University management slogans, a large number of students arrived at the University office in Patna with the intention to lock it up. When the police tried to prevent them from doing so, they clashed with the authorities forcing the police to resort to mild lathi charge that culminated with the arrest over two dozen students.

All the arrested students were released after order was restored at the office.

The students have announced their decision to observe a 'Black Day' on Thursday to protest against the use of police force to crush their agitation.
