Man Robbed of Rs. 3.55 lakh. Photo by Anupam SinghCriminals in Patna under Kotwali police station on Friday robbed a fertilizer company employee Ajay Kumar Chaurasia at gunpoint and escaped with Rs. 3.55 lakh in cash, bank draft and checks.

According to a police report filed by the victim, Chaurasia, an employee of the Ambika Sales Corporation, arrived from Katihar at Patna by the Capital Express to deposit cash and checks at the company's branch office located within the Maurya Lok Shopping Complex.

As he approached the staircase leading to the office on the upper floor, two unidentified men stopped him at gun point and snatched the bag containing cash, checks, and bank drafts before escaping on their motorcycle.

City SP Anwar Hussain said the police were investigating the case from various angles including an inside job with Chaurasia's hand in it.
