BJP Leader Appeals for Help from Citizens
Patna: May 28, 2008
Senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Central Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, during the inaugural of the PCC Road in Kankarbagh in Patna on Wednesday, said that development was not solely in the hand of one person but each citizen must step up to the plate and contribute in the progress of the state.
"This government is doing its best to bring prosperity in the state but it alone cannot fulfill the dream of a better Bihar. It needs help from all the corners and our citizens have the obligation to step forward and pitch-in in the development of the state," Prasad said.
The BJP leader credited the party workers for the smashing victory in Karnataka saying it was their hard work and their relentless effort to spread the party message to everyone that brought success to the party.
Arun Kumar Sinha, BJP legislator from Patna Central, also appealed to the people of Kankarbagh to help keep the new road clean and safe.
"The government's job is to build and maintain the road but it is also the duty of the people to ensure these roads are clean and free from any kind of hazard," Sinha said.
