Teen Girl Falls from Roof, Dies; Suicide not Ruled Out

An 18-year old girl in Chandpur Bela area under Jakkanpur police station in Patna on Thursday fell from the fourth floor of a building and died under mysterious conditions causing a sensation in the neighborhood.

As reported by her family members, Neha Kumar, an Inter student, was on the roof of a four-storied building where she lived with her parents. She was putting some freshly-washed cloths for drying in the sun when she slipped and fell four floors below on the ground.

The victim, the sister of a Post Graduate medical student at the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), died on the spot. Her body was sent to the hospital for an autopsy and later handed over to her family members for her last rites.

The police are investigating the case. Suicide has not been ruled out.
