I
would like to draw your attention to a recent
article published in The Times of India,
Bangalore edition on 26th December 2006. This
was a report wherein a senior police officer was
trying to defend the police team when probed
regarding the deteriorating law and order
condition in Bangalore. The gentleman had the
guts to say something like this "The migratory
workers and students from BIHAR and JHARKHAND
have been smuggling guns into Bangalore leading
to a rise in robberies and murders."
I tried to find this piece of news on the TOI
website but haven't been able to find it yet,
what I can certainly do is to take a cut out of
the news article and get it scanned and send it
to you.
This statements is a real affront for the people
of Bihar and Jharkhand wherein a stupid police
officer is trying to give some stupid reasons
for the inefficiency in his own team.
PD being a leading online resource for many
fellow Biharis, I would like you to highlight
this news item and get others to protest and
extract an apology from the state of Karnataka
so that a precedent is set so no one takes any
liberty against us Biharis. I have also sent
emails to many yahoogroups related to Bihar and
am sure soon with a combined effort we will be
able to show the police officer his real worth.
Let him pay for this heavily.

This is a good effort to protect the
dignity of Bihar. No one gives
credit to Biharis for being
excellent in education. We have
became a threat to other state
students and growing anti-Bihari
agitation either in Maharashtra,
Assam or recently in Andhra Pradesh
only proves it. Us Biharis spend
crores of our home money in other
states for education and contribute
to their growth by accelerating
demand there. The police officer
should be asked to apologize so that
in future no such incident takes
place. - Neshat Ahamad - Dec. 29,
2006 |
