Bathing in Milk

What a day has come in the present civilization… People taking bath in milk to ward off evil. What has happened to our leaders? On one hand we are preparing the launch of GSLV in the space and on the other hand we have leaders like Mr. Dadan Pahalwan who are publicly displaying their ignorance and lack of knowledge.

Can any distinguished person please explain wastage of so much of milk? Instead of taking a bath with that milk if our honorary leader would have cared to distribute it among poor than at least it would have given him some their good wishes.

The photos of this function are more than enough to put down our head with shame. The priests and the crowd gathered there are proof enough. Are we Biharis, or should I say Indians so ignorant about our culture and religion? This clearly shows that people in Bihar have less work so they have time to indulge in these matters. Why can’t government start some roadwork or some construction work at a large level where people should be forced to do the work? This will keep them off from such activities.

Comments:
Why blame Dadan Pahalwan? Daily tons of milk are being wasted in washing idols in temples. Thank you. - Satya Prasad - July 10, 2006

Why only blame Dadan Pahelwan and Temple? Huge chunks of wealth and time wasted in Pubs, Casino, Multiplexes, and Pizza Huts. If these expenses diverted to poor, none have died with starvation in India. If the quantity of candles burned in church distributed to underprivileged no household in Bihar would dwell in darkness. If the amount of cloth offered in Dargah dispersed to ill-fated no "bhookha nanga" would have roamed naked. The things would have better if the amount of papers poured on Italian team during world cup celebrations redirected to deprived students. - Tarakeswar Dubey - July 11, 2006
