The
writer should familiarize himself
with the circumstances leading to
Sonia Gandhi's resignation. The rule
which is applicable to Jay Bachchan
should be applicable to Mrs. Gandhi
also. Mrs. Gandhi did not become PM
because of the reciprocity clause in
Art. 105 of the constitution, which
debars a naturalized citizen from
holding political office if the
country of his/her birth does not
allow so to the citizen of the
country where naturalization has
taken place. - Satya Prasad -

Mr.
King is obviously dazed by the
so-called 'charisma' of Sonia Gandhi
who happened to get caught
red-handed while once again trying
to subvert the Indian Constitution
(last time it was done in a midnight
session affecting the Bihar
politics, remember that?). Every
time she gets caught up in an
embarrassing situation, she pulls a
stunt like this and people like Mr.
King quickly proclaim her as a saint
who continues to make 'supreme
sacrifices' in the 'interest of the
nation'.
Congress has been known to be a
party of corrupt leaders and the
tradition continues despite Mr.
King's glorious tribute to its
leader. - Atul Raj, New Delhi

No
doubt that Sonia is Mrs. Clean, but
I object with you, Mr. King, about
Rajiv Gandhi. He came as Mr. Clean,
but after joining politics he was
not clean, and he left dirtied. I do
not like to go into the history, but
great examples are Bhagalpur riot,
Bofors Gun. So far, I see Mrs. Sonia
Gandhi as very clean and sacrificing
one after another. I respect her and
I think she is the best politician I
have seen up to now in my life.
Once, I read a joke that Govt. made
a dam and opposition leader has to
inaugurate. After inauguration, he
has to deliver a speech, and being
in opposition, he must say something
against the current Govt. He said,
"I am suspicious about how fruitful
this water will be, since the Govt.
has already taken out its strength
by making electricity."
No matter what you do in your life,
how many sacrifices you make, how
pure your intentions, your
opposition will never accept it and
always find a demerit. - S. M.
