We
have all witnessed the continued unfavourable
coverage of Bihar in the national media. One of
the observations is the editorial decision
making and the ownership of these publications
is outside Bihar. One has to see the sharp
decline in the coverage of things important to
Bihar and Biharis since the Patna-based The
Indian Nation and The Searchlight were closed or
taken over by their rich cousins in the metros.
In this backdrop, it is extremely sad to hear
the news that the Ranchi based Prabhat Khabar
may get gobbled up by the omnipotent 'national'
media houses. (Link)
One can just hope and pray that this news turns
out to be false.
