There is an interesting article in Economic Times titled "Patna better than Mumbai for doing biz". This can be viewed from this link.

I request to the editor of PatnaDaily to kindly post this article on PatnaDaily.Com.

Comments:
Gradually Bihar is recovering from the stigma it was facing since last two decades. Things are not only changing but changing fast in Bihar. I do agree that for the prosperity of business, the attitude and support of the Government machinery is the most important factor, but simultaneously the importance of entrepreneurship of the businesspersons is an equally important factor. I don't know many business persons of Bihar, but can certainly say that during the recent years the people's propensity to make business activities in Bihar is growing steadily. Doing business in Patna is easier than Mumbai is a subject matter of debate. We can not compare our State with Maharashtra capital, which is also considered the commercial capital of the country. But of course, the administrative bottlenecks in Mumbai for business class of people is a matter of worry. In Patna or in other town of Bihar, the Government's interference in business activities is minimum, however, our state still lacks in development of infrastructural facilities which are primarily required for the growth of business, for which the Government should provide more sincere attention. Secondly, the law and order situation in Bihar is though improving, the administrative machinery should ensure that any entrepreneur, who is willing to contribute to the economy of Bihar should be provided with due support by the Government. I would like to use this august forum to request all our Non Resident Biharis to contribute for the cause of educational and economical growth of our beloved State so that we must regain our lost Glory.
