Could
I request PatnaDaily to approach the Union
Railway Minister with a representation for
setting up a Multi-Institutional "National
Railway University" offering courses in
Management, Engineering, Vocational Training to
its staff from across the nation, apart from
being a center of excellence in related
research? Setting up such a facility in the
state will make it imperative for would-be
railway employees and even existing railway
employees from across the country to travel down
to state for professional training and make them
more sensitive to people/railway entrance
candidates traveling out of state.
Also, since the population of state capital is
already touching two millions and is likely to
grow rapidly with stress on urbanization (state
has only 10.5% urbanization compared to over 40%
for TN and Maharashtra and above 26% National
average), it is high time that state approaches
railway minister for a Metro/Monorail for Patna.
Failure to develop a MUTP at this moment will
betray vision on part of the state
administration and will lead to unmanageable
traffic snarls, transportation chaos and
pollution in Patna Urban District, which will
soon extend to Bihta and Hajipur.

I wish Laluji shows his honest
anxiety about contributing to the
prosperity of Bihar. He can change
the face of Bihar if he wishes so.
But I can't understand why he falls
behind when it comes to change the
destiny of Bihar with just a little
effort from him.
I wish he changes. - Indra - July
