Mr.
Nitesh Ambuj's statement 'Water is
Life' is correct if you will see the
biochemistry of life which is a
combination of carbon dioxide,
nitrogen and water all three in
combined state leads to life
ultimately.
As regards Bihar has enough water,
it is true North Bihar itself
(Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul,
Chhapra, Saharsa districts and all)
has more than 2,200 ponds, many
tanks, few lakes and rivers. So
altogether it is wet land areas and
proper utilization can be made by
growing Euryale forex (Makhana)
which is highly proteinaceous diet
and consumable to all. This I said
on Patna television programme twice.
There is a need to develop
agriculture sector and
farsightedness is required among the
custodians of the state. I
appreciate the outcome of Nitesh and
it is a nice matter of debate among
the academicians, media and the
government. - Dr. A. P. Verma

God
almighty himself said in holy Quraan,
chapter 24 verse 45, "GOD created
every living from water", in chapter
20, verse 53, (GOD is the one who)
"sent water down from the sky and
thereby we brought forth pairs of
plants each separate from the
other". It further says in chapter
13 verse 4, "on the earth are the
adjacent parts: vineyards, sown
fields, palm trees, similar or not
similar, watered with the same
water. We make some of them more
excellent than others to eat and
verily in this are the signs for the
wise people"
Now the question arises how wise are
we to utilize the reward God has
given us in abundance. Bihar is full
of the bounty of the Almighty, now
it is up to the people and the
government of Bihar to utilize water
for the betterment of the state and
its people, the state flood
situations to be dealt with properly
so that the same water could be used
in our agriculture based industry,
which Mr. Nitish has frequently
emphasized. Instead of finding
faults in others and blaming the
government, people should come
forward in utilizing water as a
mineral resource.
Once Bahadur Shah Zafar said in
Urdu, "When I did not know about
myself, I was always finding faults
with others. When I focused on my
own faults, I could not find any
person worse than me." - Dr.
