Plastic Noxious to Environment

Bihar government is contemplating to ban plastics in any form and want to introduce plastic rules of 1999. Any person, shop, or vendor found violating the rules will be punished.

I am surprised to see that the US and Canada use plastic bags enormously. All vegetable shops in Ontario contain rolls of plastic bags and consumers using them freely. Yes, I agree that the plastic that is being used here in Patna is non-biodegradable. Most of the manufacturers established their factories illegally and are doing brisk business underneath the insidious guidance of the officials. It is well known to them and they are getting certain amount every month from each manufacturer. Colored plastic bags are especially very harmful and hazardous to health.

People in US and Canada are very conscious, they are making use of it but dump the trash at dumping stations. You will never see any plastic material spread on the roads. On every road a trash bin is kept and even a small bag of snack is dumped in the trash bin. The culture which I could observe can be seen with the small children too. They never throw anything on the road; they will be fined for littering is a punishable act. Just opposite is seen in Bihar/India, neither such outlook is there nor the people are thinking on the cleanliness of the environment. The government officials from police station to the pollution control board are busy minting money by any means, they never think about the state, country and the people. There is need for very hard rules and stiff actions on the violators.
