What
makes you believe that Prime
Minister of India would have not
visited Bihar? What makes you
believe that Lalu Yadav compelled
them? If it is so then you will also
join Nitish Kumar in saying that
Manmohan Singh issued Rs 1000 Cr as
relief because it is election year?
Lalu Yadav is doing what he can for
flood victims but is he stopping
Nitish Kumar from doing his bit? Is
he? I simply fail to understand what
kind of pervert thinking is this?
Remember one simple thing- Lalu
Yadav is not stopping anybody from
helping the flood victim. 35 lakh
people are affected by this flood.
Kosi has changed its course. It is a
biggest challenge Bihar has ever
faced. If Nitish Kumar or anybody
thinks that all those who want to
help flood victims are doing for
political gain then he is completely
out of mind and quite insane. I felt
really disgusted when I read the
news that Nitish Kumar linked the Rs
1000 Cr relief fund offered by PM
with election year. If Nitish Kumar
didn’t needed this fund then why he
went to Delhi? To return empty
handed so that he can cry before
media how Lalu Yadav is stopping
relief to Bihar? Is Prime Minister
of India not allowed to visit a
national calamity of biggest
proportion in his own country? 35
lakh people are victims of this, YES
35 lakh people!! And here is what a
prominent national daily writes
today and I quote a portion of that,
(In the 48 hours preceding the
breach in the Kosi embankment, the
Bihar government’s Water Resources
Department had twice declared that
“all embankments” maintained by it
were “safe”.
In two pre-flood bulletins issued on
August 16 and August 17, the
Department said: “Jal Sansadhan
vibhag ke antargat sabhi tatbandh
surakshit hain (All
embankments...are safe).”
On August 18, the Kosi smashed the
embankment at Kusaha in Nepal,
supposed to have been repaired and
maintained by the Bihar government.
But records show that the Centre,
which reimburses Bihar’s cost on the
works, repeatedly wanted to know
from the state what preventive
action was being taken on the Kosi
in Nepal.
On April 1, the Patna-based Director
(Coordination) of the Ganga Flood
Control Commission— a body under the
Union Ministry of Water Resources—
wrote to the Engineer-in-Chief
(North) of Bihar’s Water Resources
Department. The letter clearly asks
the state to specify what is being
done “on river Kosi in Nepal portion
based on the recommendations of Kosi
High Level Committee for the
protection works to be executed
before the floods of 2008.” And that
it send a report “immediately to
this office for taking necessary
action.
The same lines were repeated in two
subsequent letters, dated April 25
and June 12. Copies of all three
letters are available with this
newspaper.)
I will call this criminal to let 35
lakh people suffer but if Nitish
Kumar dares to link Rs 1000 Cr
relief for flood victims with
election year then he should be
prepared to face the charge that he
had sinister design so let the
catastrophe happen so that he can
take full advantage out of people’s
suffering. As Government of India
comes forward to help its Indian
Citizen he is worried about failure
of his sinister design. How about
such a charge? Fact is that even
10000 Cr is less for relief after
this disaster. Listen to his press
briefing 14000 food packets were
dropped for 35 lakh people!!!!
Wow!!!! Now that Lalu is demanding
100s of helicopters to be deployed
in relief operation then some people
become sad. This National disaster
in Bihar is too big to be left only
on Sushashan Babu and his 14000 food
packets. - Munna Bhai - Aug. 30,

Namaste Munna Bhai
It is always good to discuss
anything. To your questions, here is
the news published in the
PATNADAILY.COM August 26. 2008
*Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief
and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad
Yadav on Tuesday announced his
victory in persuading Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh, Congress president
Sonia Gandhi, and Home Minister
Shivraj Patil to visit Bihar to feel
the pulse of the state.*
The trio are expected to visit the
state on Thursday. *Among the local
hosts who would act as 'tour guides'
are Yadav himself, his wife and
former Chief Minister of Bihar Rabri
Devi, Union Water Resources Minister
Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav, and
former Bihar minister Shyam Rajak.*
*The Railway Minister also took
credit for convincing the Prime
Minister of dispatching four large
helicopters to Bihar to engage in
relief operation and persuading
Central Minister Sharad Pawar to
send 1 lakh ton of wheat and rice to
the flood-hit areas.
*To answer your first query
_What makes you believe that Lalu
Yadav compelled them?
_It is not me who is claiming
anything nor I am claiming anything
what Mr Nitish Kumar might have been
claiming, rather I commented on the
news where - seems your dear ones
Laluji - has been claiming to have
been doing favour to Bihar by
providing 10 Billions of rupees from
the central government. Yes, I can
see through daily newspapers what
Laluji is doing.
So read the original News before
uttering something what I have not
said.
Dhanyabaad. - Jay Verma - Sept.
1, 2008
Dhanyabad Jay Verma Ji. Aap aur hum
Lalu ko credit denge tab na credit
milega. Lalu ke bolne se kya hota
hai. Lalu bol diya ki woh PM of
India ko jeb me rakhte hain aur hum
maan liye? What is important is
Nitish demanded Rs. 1000 Cr as
immediate relief and PM issued that.
Now Nitish should make sure that
this reaches to needy. As of now
what we are seeing is relief is not
sufficient. People are still hungry
for days and stranded. Nitish should
ignore Lalu and focus on job at
hand. - Munna Bhai - Sept. 2,
2008
I
think it is about time Mr. Bollywood
AKA the Railway Minister just run
the railroads. Chief Minister Nitish
Kumar has shown great humility and
patience with respect to Mr.
Bollywod and Co. they should just
shut up and try to do something to
support the Govt. in their efforts
to get through this flood crises.
My prayers with you all my brothers
and sisters in this time of natural
disaster. - Ronald L. Harrison,
Syracuse NY - Sept. 4, 2008
Lalu is only good for the
opposition. It's the same Lalu
Prasad who, on the eve of flood used
to say, "this is good for poor; they
will get to eat fish". It's the same
Lalu Prasad who fleeced flood relief
money through his beloved
brother-in-law.
Suddenly when in opposition, he is
talking about rehabilitation and
flood relief. Okay, better late than
never. But people are smart enough
to know and assess Lalu's
capability. He has ruled Bihar for
15 years and while he was still in
power, this Kosi barrage's lifetime
lapsed. Needless to say, Lalu did
nothing. Most probably doing
anything for the flood control never
came into his mind in all those 15
years. - Anil Kumar - Sept. 4,
2008 |
