Engineered Development

I do not
know which engineering school Nitish Kumar went
to and what degree he received, but it is
amazing to know that he feels that development
implies construction and construction implies
engineers. Therefore, according to him,
everything in Bihar would be fine if he inducted
hundreds of engineers.
All said and done development implies growth and
equity. Which means development implies
culturally-sensitive investment where benefits
trickle up or trickle down.
If you look around the immense poverty in small
towns, villages, and remote areas of Bihar, you
will understand that having more engineers is
hardly the answer. This state of affairs is so
entrenched for generations that political
leaders need to fix the past before promising
any new future, with engineers or otherwise.

Respectable chief minister of Bihar
is doing a great job along with
other ministers. He seems to be very
proactive. In stead of appreciation,
you are criticizing... it will be
good if you state some idea how to
take care about the people residing
in village under poverty.
Nitish is a qualified engineer from
BCE (Bihar college of engineering)
Patna. He is an electrical engineer.
Jai Bihar...Jai Bharat.
We are looking forward a developed
Bihar with positive attitude all
around in Bihar. - Dheeraj Kumar,
