Hub of Treasure

During
sauntering every morning in the Botanical
Garden, Patna, I was impressed to see a variety
of unidentified flora having botanical and
medicinal significance. It is imperative to tag
the names of all those plants located by the
side roads around the periphery like animals,
creepers and birds in the right side of the
roads.
I would like to appeal to the director of the
garden to initiate naming of the plants by an
expert taxonomist with brief outlines of their
medicinal significance. This would be another
source of revenue because students of schools
and colleges of all classes are being sent by
the authority in the garden to identify rare
flora and fauna. Garden authority can sell it
out also through a counter at meager amount
because we need rare plants as herbarium during
examinations. These plants are readily available
through herbarium in the department to teach to
students about its morphology, physiology and
medicinal significance too.
This hub of treasure needs care identification
and proper protection also. Jungle trail at two
locations also needs attention because during
rainy season it becomes swampy and difficult to
walk.
