Paswan Playing Politics with the Dead

It was a tragedy that killed so many of innocent lives, but people like Paswan and Central Minister Akhilesh Prasad Singh are doing nothing except playing politics showing sympathy with the dead people. It has become a fashion to blame each and everything on the opposition and try to gain vote from the victims family by demanding 5 lakh or whatever for the dead, like playing God and evaluate a life in terms of money.

I don't think Mr. Paswan or Mr. Singh would give a paisa for the dead from their own. Even being away from Bihar for longer than 30 years, I have seen the development in each and every field including roads during this government. No one wants to give credit to Mr. Nitish Kumar for what he is trying to do. Would not it had a little sensible of Paswan and Singh to speak about the human error of the driver of the Jeep and the fact that there were 20 people travelling in the vehicle meant for perhaps 7-10 people?

And it is nothing but BS when Paswan said "had this accident happened on the streets of some Western country, the people would have sued the government for millions of dollars." He must have travelled a lot since becoming a Minister, but he needs some time to learn about Western manners. Yes, there are no Roads in Western countries like here, but nobody is corrupt like a lot of politicians who became rich at the cost of the lives of people and government money. Besides, the decisions are made in Western countries on fact, not politics.

Comments:
First of all, thanks for the article which shows the dirtiness of our political system especially concerned with Bihar. The same minister was liable for punishment when he showed double character when he joined congress and left the NDA but he could not realise his character. He must appreciate the current progress and development of the state and should further try to support from his side as much as he can do for the state. - Pramod Tiwary - July 22, 2008
