The
Chandragupta Institute of Management in Patna (CIMP),
inaugurated by Vice President Mohammad Hamid
Ansari is indeed a major step towards improving
education scenario in Bihar. It is painful to
point out that in recent decades the educational
condition of Bihar was going through from bad to
worse. The mass exodus of students to other
states in search of quality education in various
faculties was not only a matter of great shame
but also ruining the revenue of the state.
It goes without saying that Bihar has been a
seat of learning from the ancient time, which
once attracted not only the students of India
but also those of abroad like China from where
Fahyan and Huen Tsang came to have studies in
then world famous Nalanda Vishwavidyalay.
With the setting up of Chandragupta Institute of
Management with 50% of the seats reserved for
the students of the state, Bihar is sure to
regain its glories that it had lost in last few
years thanks to the so-called political leaders
and the lethargic people of Bihar. It has
rightly been expressed that the setting up of
this long cherished Institute would prevent
students from migrating to other states that
would eventually help Bihar develop its own
infrastructure and bring economic prosperity in
the state and that CIMP would really prove to be
a center of excellence offering education
comparable to the nation's other top management
institutes.
It is really a matter of great pride that with
Bihar having its own Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Chanakya Law University, BIT (Mesra)
extension, and the proposed branch of National
Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), now the
Bihari students need not leave the state to
obtain quality education in a number of
faculties.
Thanks to the viable initiative of the ongoing
Chief Minister , Bihar is heralding in new era
of Science and Technology which is ,without
fail, going to spread the light of awareness and
consciousness among the people of Bihar lying in
deep slumber of lost dignity and inferiority. O
the sons of soil! get up! A new morning is
waiting for all of us.
