History
proves that India went into the hands of
foreigners because the Indians never thought of
themselves as one Nation. But, let me remind the
people who have forgotten that there were people
at that time who joined hands from all parts of
India; be it East, West, North or South to fight
for the Independence of their one and only
Nation - India.
As children, we were taught that India is our
motherland, and its people are our family. The
pride of India lies in the Cultural diversity of
her people. So, Mr. Thackeray (and his
supporters), first of all, stop thinking of
Maharashtra as a separate nation or rather as
your Rajwarah. Secondly, your freedom of
expression does not mean that you can go to the
extend of insulting your own brothers and
sisters. Thirdly, who cares about who lives
where? All Indians have freedom to move anywhere
within their own country. Who in the world are
you to decide where the Biharis should live and
where the North Indians should? If Biharis are
100 ‘bimaries’, I think you are the deadly
bacteria causing the “bimari”! So please stop
all your unacceptable and unprofessional
statements against the North Indians. If you
have any disagreements with Mr. Lalu Yadav and
his supporters, come forward and oppose them
like a man. Why are you putting your gun on the
shoulders of a hard working common man?
I agree that the politics in Bihar got uglier
and uglier forcing many Biharis to find means of
livelihood elsewhere. With their hard work they
began settling in Delhi, Calcutta, Bangalore,
Chennai and Maharashtra. Was it their fault? Did
they want to leave the place where they grew up?
Unfortunately, Mr. Lalu Yadav, during his long
era of leadership in Bihar, did nothing to
develop the State or increase employment
opportunities. In fact, many Biharis were forced
to leave their well-settled life due to the bad
law and order situations of Bihar. Thanks to
him, Bollywood developed a new trend in the
movies to portray villains as Biharis. And for
political gains, Mr. Yadav, please stop
commercializing the sacred festival of Chhath.
You have already contributed a lot to the
history of Bihar, we do not want any more.
Please stop.

People
who criticize Bihar/Jharkhand forget
that it is this place that has
produced and is still producing some
great personalities.
Be it ancient history think tanks
like Chandragupta Maurya, Chanakya,
Ashoka or religious personalities
like Gautam Buddha , Bhaktivedanta
Narayana Goswami, Guru Gobind Singh
ji , Shams-ul-haq Azeemabadi they
all are from this great land.
How can we forget the contributions
by great Biharis Dr Rajendra Prasad,
Jay Prakash Narayan, Veer Kunwar
Singh.
When today India is celebrating its
historic win in Australia it is
under the leadership of Mahendra
Singh Dhoni who also belongs to this
great place.
This state has produced the highest
no. of IAS officers and loads of
engineers and doctors, some famous
actors, singers who are doing so
well in their respective fields.
It is really a pity that Bihar does
not offer so many job opportunities
and the biharis have to migrate to
other states who think of them as
“beemari” but let me tell them it is
a great honour for them that Biharis
are working in those states because
they are so creative and hard
working and it is the state that
will benefit from their hard work. -

This is one of the most heartfelt
cries - that would come from a
genuine Biharis heart. Talking of
not even 60 years after independence
- when we fought the great war with
a wonderful display of unity and
non-violence - today we have come to
a point where we are shoving out
people from another state referring
to them as a disease.
This article made me ponder - who is
more diseased - Is it the poor
victims - who had to travel all the
way to other states - just because
of the degraded situation that was
created during the "Lalu regime" and
then are being treated like
untouchables - in "Thackeray's
rule". Or are those politicians
diseased who for their own selfish
agenda of publicity and an
insatiable greed for easy power -
have put to stake all what the
nation used to stand for - just a
half-a-century and a decade ago????
It is not only a disgrace to the
people who have been treated that
way - but a shameful slap in the
face to the Hindu Value system -
something which was the base of the
Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sena - Or
maybe the hidden intentions were not
so clear at that time - which were
actually coming from a regional
communal politician - who is trying
to find a way to create a group of
voters - who think of him as a
Maharashtrian leader - a leader who
will reform Maharashtra - This
reform is not by addressing the real
issues - like crime, abject poverty,
the disparity between the rich and
the poor - which are all so eminent
- when you are traveling through the
city - in a local train, - instead
by showing that a few people who
were not born in that state are the
root cause of all the problems.
What an easy way to earn publicity
and gain a vote bank!!! The idea is
- please some - show no humanity to
some already displaced voiceless
workers and get your way in the
elections!!! - Nimisha Verma -

The problem lies in the political
leadership of Bihar and UP. Instead
of ridiculing and targeting them,
Mr. Bal Thackeray and his nephew are
harassing the helpless labourer who
has been forced to leave his state
due to lack of opportunities there.
And look at the impact they have
created outside - Bollywood is ruled
by UP'ite and Delhi'ite. Even the
labour class work so hard that they
have created so much of insecurity
in these leaders! Instead of beating
up a taxi driver or hawker, would
they dare to beat up the useless
leaders of Bihar and UP?
I would put it other way round - if
Maharashtra thinks that they are
doing a favour to these people, they
should realise that Mumbai is what
it is now due to hard work of the
north Indians settled there. -

I just wanted to know 1 thing:
What has Bal Thackeray done in his
entire political career for the
people of Maharashtra? And what has
his Nephew Raj Thackeray done? The
latter is such an idiot that when
asked to donate his land so that
Amitabh Bachchan can open a school
there; he said that he will sell it
at market rate!! If this is his
mentality then he has no rights to
speak against Amitabh Bachchan who
has bought a land and then built the
school in Allahabad.
The Thackeray family have lost its
charm now for all the stupid things
they are doing and it will not
benefit them in anyway in the long
run. - Animesh Kishore Prasad -
