Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejaswi Yadav on Wednesday slammed the Modi administration for using the politics of personal vendetta and vengeance following the high-profile Income Tax raids at the homes and offices of Bollywood film-maker Anurag Kashyap and actress Taapsee Pannu both of whom had been very vocal in the criticism of the BJP-led NDA government.
"They first employed IT, CBI, ED to conduct raids on vocal & upright political rivals for their character assassination. Now Nazi govt is chasing social activists, journalists & artists to threaten them against calling spade a spade. Condemnable Act!", the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar said on his Twitter account.

In Patna, the leader of the opposition party in Bihar said that Modi was sticking to the politics of personal vendetta that he is known for and was abusing his power by using government machinery against anyone who dared to raise the voice of dissent.
“They are going after opposition leaders, film stars, and even ordinary citizens like Disha Ravi for speaking their minds. This is very dangerous for a democratic nation like India,” he said.
As reported, the Income Tax Department on Wednesday carried out multiple raids at properties owned by Kashyap and Pannu in Mumbai, Pune, and elsewhere for alleged financial irregularities.
Both have criticized the government of using force to suppress the voice of Punjab farmers and other critics of the government.
