Patna: Sweta Srivastava Vikram, a native of Patna and now living in the US recently toured India, USA, UK, and Singapore to promote her books including 'Because All Is Not Lost: Verse on Grief', 'Kaleidoscope: An Asian Journey of Colors', and 'Perfectly Untraditional'.

A graduate of Columbia University, New York, Sweta is a recipient of Azsacra International Poetry Award, 2011 (Russia); and has been nominated for a host of other awards, including Pushcart Prize, 2010, 2011; Wesleyan Scholarship for the Wesleyan Writers Conference, 2011 (US); and Unisun Poetry Prize, 2010, India, Shortlist (English Poetry).

Other books authored by Sweta includes 'Because All Is Not Lost: Verse on Grief; 'Whispering Woes of Ganges and Zambezi', a collaborative collection (along with a poet from Africa) of poetry about the socioeconomic and political issues consuming Asia and Africa; 'Not All Birds Sing', a collection of poetry, in collaboration with a visual artist from Australia; 'Perfectly Untraditional', a novel about a happy, immigrant story and relationships in modern India (Niyogi Books, 2011); 'Beyond the Scent of Sorrow', a chapbook of poems about the challenges, as identified by the United Nations, faced by women (Modern History Press, 2011); and 'Mouth Full', a collection of personal essays and poetry (J Publishing Company Ltd., 2012).

Sweta's articles, essays, and poems have also appeared in a host of world-repute magazines and papers.
